Sino-Russian joint Mars exploration scientific team workshop was held in the center for space science and applied research (CSSAR) on December 29, 2009. It was chaired by WANG Chi, chief engineer of Sino-Russian joint Mars exploration scientific application system.

Prof. WU Ji, director of CSSAR stated the reasons of “YH-1” launching postpone as well as the work of exploration system life extension and its reliability growth. Members of the scientific team delivered 14 reports about “YH-1”orbit design, four scientific goals after its postpone and new exploration trend of the developed countries in the world.
