Developing space exploration and experiments are basic tasks of China Manned Space Engineering. Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) is the leading organization of the project. CAS organized experts to shape overall strategy and arrange tasks in the first stage of the project according to national developing plan. Great success in Shenzhou Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ, Ⅴ, and Ⅵ flight application has been achieved by experts and technicians from CAS with more than 10 years effort.

China Manned Space Engineering Application System includes many sub-systems, such as Space Environment Exploration, Space Science Experiment, technical support, and safeguard. General Establishment of Space Science and Application of CAS leads over 50 organizations and takes system level responsibility to complete the overall tasks.

With the support from China Manned Space Engineering Office, Payload Operation and Application Center (POAC) of CSSAR made outstanding contributions. Equipments developed by experts in POAC of CSSAR have been used in Shenzhou Missions, These equipments are comparable with what made by worldwide advanced research organizations, such as SMC of US, POAC of ESOC, and CADMOS of CNES.
