Special high performance computing platform consists of 1024 computing nodes, with Intel Xeon 3.0 GHz quad-core processors and 2 GB main memory. The combined theoretical peak of this system is about 12.28 Tflops per second. Both fast Ethernet management network (Ruijie RG-S7600 series) and Infiniband computing network (SilverStorm 9000 series) are equipped. 

This platform is the key hardware facility of Meridian Project Research and Forecast System which supplies a basement for establishment of function plan, large-scale scientific and engineering computing of numerical and applied forecast models, and three-dimensional VR visualization of space environmental data.

Special high performance computing platform has been tested, checked and accepted by CSSAR.
