On November 8, Dr. Brian Tinsley from University of Texas at Dallas Delivered Talks at NSSC on the topic of The effect of space weather on clouds and regional climate: Link via Atmospheric Electricity and Cloud Microphysics.

 Around 40 Scientists and graduate students from NSSC in the field of space weather participated in the academic presentation and the following discussions. Dr. Brian Tinsley touched upon the day-to-day correlations discriminate between mechanisms and day-to-day correlations with global circuit forcing.

In the summary part, Dr. Brian Tinsley concluded that with GCR changes, the extent of the cloud charging will vary with the distribution of aerosol content in the troposphere. The presentation by Dr. Brian Tinsley showed a general picture in the field.

Dr. Tinsley has been actively involved in observational and theoretical research on upper atmosphere processes (Aeronomy) for more than 45 years, and has served on many national and international organizations in this field.

During the past 20 years he has published more than twenty papers on his developing theory of a mechanism. The theory involves the solar wind, as an alternative to the traditional view that changes in solar brightness were responsible.
