“How long will it take for a scientist to get his application of a specific patent granted in the USA?” one audience in the Earth Hall of CSSAR directed the question to lecturer, Robert C. Sullivan Jr.

Mr. Sullivan kicked off his lecture by explaining what a patent was. During the lecture, and answered other questions such as why to apply for a patent, how to apply patent in the USA etc. Since the audiences were scientists and young research fellows, Mr. Sullivan offered the examples suited to the situation of them.

After the lecture, there was a Q & A session in which the audience raised many questions which are closely related to their work.

Robert C. Sullivan Jr. is the Principal in the New York office of Fish & Richardson with more than 20 years of experience in patent litigation, prosecution, counseling, and licensing.
