SMILE Study Team visited Xian Satellite Control Center

SMILE (Solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer) is a joint space scientific mission between ESA and CAS. Telemetry &Telecommand of SMILE will be mainly charged by Chinese Control Center system and will be supported by ESA ground stations.

In order to further implement the mission, ESA and CAS SMILE study team visited Xian Satellite Control Center (XSCC) on 15th May, 2019. XSCC introduced the history and missions at first, and then the team visited the control center hall. SMILE study team also discussed the interface of the ground segment with experts from XSCC. From this visitation, both sides have good understanding for each other about operation and processing during launch period.
