1. Brief Introduction
Laboratory of Space System Technology (LSST) is acting as multi-discipline integration and assembling body to design and coordination in system level for Space Scientific Exploration mission,Investigate space and ground support technology on system integration management. Now it focus on Chang’E, a lunar Exploration Mission and YH-1,a Mars Exploration Mission,next step would involving in future space mission initiative concept design and evaluation, and peer-review some space program proposals.
2. Present Status
The division is equipped with 4 cleaning integration test halls; include No. 303 in cleaned class 10000, No.301 in class 100000 and No.309 with two houses in class 100000.
There are 7 researchers currently working in LSST, take the payload system level integrations and coordination in Chang’E, YH-1, in which, 5 senior researchers, one in middle level, and one in junior level. 5 graduate students also join the research work.
3. Main Research Area
LSST is taking the responsibilities to coordinate the payload integration and assembly tasks; system level optimization design and implementation; organization and management of payload development, launch site test, payload commissioning and operation in orbit.
In the present time, LSST would be in charge of organization and assistance to payload selection, design the interfaces between scientific payload and spacecraft, technical status description, payload external and internal interface coordination, setup regulations and standard, elements purchase and conditions control, quality management, reliability and safety design and management, software development management, payload integrations and test.
4. Future Development
System level design: Initiate Capability for mission level system design to support explorations program;Set up system level design center, equipped with mechanical, thermal, dynamic, electrical,electromagnetic compatibility concurrent design facilities;Space Exploration system level optimization design.
System level integrations and assembly-test:Have the capability to carry on multi-mission payload integration text in same time.Space program proposal, initiative concept design and evaluation, technological communication on cross level.
